Liverpool are desperately looking to sign a new right-back in the upcoming summer transfer window to potentially replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The Liverpool academy graduate may reportedly leave the club this summer and join Real Madrid as his current contract runs out. While there's no clarity on the England international's situation, the Reds are working in the background to find a suitable replacement.
As per reports on Calciomercato, the Reds have identified Andrea Cambiaso of Juventus as a potential replacement for Alexander-Arnold. The Italian defender has attracted attention from many European clubs, including Liverpool's rivals Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola was interested in the Italy international in January, but the deal was potentially blocked by Juventus. Even Cambiaso's agent Giovanni Bia also blamed the Bianconeri for allowing his candidate to move to City.
Juventus have dropped their asking price for the young defender. They are now willing to accept anything in the region of €40-45 million as per Daniel Longo's report on Calciomercato.
Earlier, there were reports on Liverpool monitoring Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina. Therefore, Cambiaso also joins the list of capable right-backs who can potentially replace Alexander-Arnold.

Will Cambiaso move to the Premier League?
The 25-year-old right back has been in great form this season for club and country. He has all the qualities to flourish in the Premier League. The Italian is a dynamic full-back who can play on either side, coupled with great composure and excellent 1v1 defensive attributes.

He will fit in both Liverpool and Man City's systems as his style is very similar to Alexander-Arnold's explosiveness on the right flank. Guardiola also wants him at City to replace Kyle Walker, as they have no intention of keeping the right-back next season.
Although Mathues Nunes, Rico Lewis and Abdukodir Khusanov have done well playing at right-back this season, Fabrizio Romano has reported that City will be looking to sign a new right-back this summer.
Cambiaso has featured in 30 Serie A appearances for Juventus this season, scoring twice and also providing an assist. He also provided an assist in seven Champions League outings.
Both Premier League clubs will look to strengthen the right-back position for next season, and the Italian can be a great fit for either of the two clubs.
