Lakers make Jonathan Kuminga decision after $3M signing

It almost sounds insane to say that even at this age, LeBron James is still controlling the NBA, but this is the type of player James truly is. Not only is he excellent on the court and will go down as arguably the greatest player of all time, depending on who you ask, but what he brings to organizations can't be discounted.

Not only is James an elite player, but he's also incredible on and off the court, which obviously brings in a lot of money for these organizations.

There's a reason why he's as sought-after as he currently is, which doesn't make anything too surprising regarding why it's taking so long for him to make a decision.

It doesn't seem like certain players should be affected by James' decision, but it does seem to be affecting Jonathan Kuminga.

The Los Angeles Lakers, unfortunately, will have to wait for James to make his decision until things play out with Kuminga, though it's also important to hear that the Lakers are still interested in him.

“The Lakers remain interested in 23-year-old unrestricted free agent forward Jonathan Kuminga, but conversations have stalled as most of the league monitors LeBron James’ highly-anticipated decision on where he’ll play his 24th NBA season,” Khobi Price noted.

Kuminga landing with the Lakers at this stage shouldn't really be viewed as much of a surprise. I wouldn't say they're the favorites, but at least we now know that they have some level of interest.

Even after signing Thybulle, the Lakers are looking for more talent, and Kuminga fits that mold.
