It's been a slow news stretch for the Los Angeles Lakers lately.

Since the Lakers' season ended on April 30 at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves, there hasn't been much to discuss, and there won't be until the NBA Draft at the end of June and subsequent beginning of the new league year in July, when LA will hit the trade and free agent markets.

Lakers fans are clamoring for any sort of news concerning Luka Dončić or LeBron James, which makes it unsurprising that a recent photo of Dončić's dinner went wild on social media.

Notable Lakers X account, @LakeShowYo, achieved a viral post by sharing a screenshot of an Instagram story from Dončić's wife, model Anamaria Goltes, depicting a vegetable-based rice dish.

"Luka Doncic’s wife cooking healthy food," @LakeShowYo quipped. "League is in trouble next season."

The post elicited from Lakers fans who are well aware of the tiresome narrative surrounding Dončić's weight, conditioning, and nutrition.

Upon Luka being shockingly traded from the Dallas Mavericks, scores of rumors surfaced about Dallas being unhappy with Dončić's conditioning and this playing a role in the trade.

When Luka debuted with the Lakers after weeks off from basketball due to an injury, he was noticeably out of shape but played his way back into condition as the year progressed.

Following the Lakers' early playoff exit, LA's head coach JJ Redick publicly emphasized the need for his team to get in "championship shape", and many took Redick's comments as a veiled shot at Dončić.

Dončić, 26, averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists for the Lakers in 28 regular season games. He and James are expected to be working with an improved roster in 2025-26.
