Lakers’ LeBron James gets best possible report on returning to Los Angeles for fans who want him back

Jovan Buha recently noted that the Los Angeles Lakers may have to choose between Austin Reaves and LeBron James. Some took that to mean Reaves would be the guy the Lakers chose over James, though it still remains uncertain what's going to happen.

Regardless, Buha recently went back on his words, or at least clarified them, and stated that the Lakers don't necessarily have to choose between the two. In fact, he even went so far as to say that Los Angeles will end up with both players on its roster again next season, perhaps the best news the Lakers have gotten about James's return yet.

“One clarification from a broader offseason priorities discussion: The conversation was about a hypothetical choice, not whether the Lakers have to choose between Austin Reaves and LeBron James. They don’t,” Buha posted. “I’ve said and continue to say I expect both to re-sign with the Lakers.”

In the event that the Lakers have to choose between one player, it wouldn't be surprising to see them go with Reaves.

I doubt that's what Los Angeles would do given how much money James brings to the organization, but it's also important to remember that it's likely to be his final year next season.

Right now, though, there seems to be a real feeling that it won't matter, and both could return to the organization.
