How to Watch the 2025 Met Gala and 'Live From E!' on TV and Online
The Met Gala was made for serving looks.
For the past 76 years, the steps of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art have greeted Hollywood’s biggest stars for the most fashionable night of the year.
This year, the 2025 Met Gala—co-chaired by Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo and A$AP Rocky as well as Vogue editor Anna Wintour and honorary co-chair LeBron James on May 5—will invite fashion innovators to dress in accordance to the “Tailored for You” dress code, inspired by menswear and suiting.
And one star that is sure to be stepping up to the challenge is Zendaya.
“We are going to be on the Met Gala steps,” the Euphoria star’s stylist Law Roach told E! News’ The Rundown earlier this month. “Yes, separately this year. That’s going to be really amazing.”
Indeed, if her look at this year’s event is anything like her look at last year’s Met Gala, jaws will drop and heads will turn. Because last year, the Dune actress wore the most stunning Maison Margiela mermaid-cut gown, complete with hummingbird details and intricate nods to poison ivy. To add an additional edgy touch, the look also included a veiled fascinator and bold maroon eye makeup.
In addition to the Challengers star, Lady Gaga is another icon that has never failed to make a fabulous entrance—despite having only walked the Met steps three times. But even with her limited number of attendances, the “Poker Face” singer’s 2019 arrival involved four extravagant outfit changes and, of course, an entourage of tuxedo-clad dancers with black umbrellas to help her in the process.

And as we look forward to this year’s biggest fashion risks, let’s not forget about Rihanna’s massive yellow Guo Pei robe in 2015 that required four trained handlers to help carry it across the red carpet and up the stairs.
