A megabucks LA realtor to the stars just donated a $100 million-plus piece of prime property next to Fox Studios to house the largest Jewish center in North America.
Alon Abady — who’s peddled posh homes to celebs such as Justin and Hailey Bieber and scooped up properties including Simon Cowell’s former Beverly Hills spread — handed off the acre-and-a-half Century City spot to West Coast Chabad.
“This is a lifelong dream that also allows me to honor my parents and my children,’’ Abady said in a statement.
“When my family immigrated to Los Angeles in the 1970s, Chabad was there for us,’’ said the Syrian native, also known for buying the Sofitel in Beverly Hills in 2021, according to the Real Deal. “That was never forgotten.”
The budding Jewish-center property at 9911 W. Pico Blvd. features a 16-story office building and will be used to develop such things as a synagogue, community programs, mental-health services and major-event spaces, according to Chabad News.
“It will be an epicenter of Jewish life,” Rabbi Chaim Nochum Cunin said.
“It will transform the landscape of Jewish life in Los Angeles and throughout the world.”
The announcement comes amid a surge of antisemitism across the US and world, including the heartbreaking Bondi Hannukah massacre in Australia that left at least 15 people dead.
Chabad refers to a global Jewish effort involving education, outreach and support.
