Division rivals, the LA Lakers and Sacramento Kings, clash on Sunday at the Golden 1 Center for the first time this season. Both teams have split the results after their opening two games.
The Lakers lost 119-109 in Tuesday's opener against the Golden State Warriors, but bounced back against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 128-110 outcome on Friday. Luka Doncic dropped a Lakers career high against Minnesota, with 49 points. He added 11 rebounds and eight assists, putting in another complete performance.
Meanwhile, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura and Deandre Ayton played excellent cameos. Reaves continued his push for an All-Star nod with 25 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists on 9 of 15 shots. Meanwhile, Hachimura scored 23 points on 10 of 13 shots. Ayton had 15 points and eight rebounds on 7 of 11 shots.

On the other hand, the Kings lost their opener to the Phoenix Suns 120-116 after a late-game collapse. They didn't allow that to happen on Friday against the Utah Jazz, thanks to a Domantas Sabonis game-winner, giving them a 105-104 victory.

Zach LaVine continued his tear with a 31-point night on 10 of 18 shots. Malik Monk contributed 20 off the bench, while Dennis Schroder tallied 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

LA Lakers injury report
The Lakers have ruled out Luka Doncic and Jaxson Hayes. Doncic suffered a left finger injury on Friday and a left leg contusion. Meanwhile, Hayes is nursing an ankle injury and missed the last game too.
Meanwhile, LeBron James (sciatica), Adou Thiero (knee) and Maxi Kleber (oblique) will miss their third straight game.
Sacramento Kings injury report
The Kings have listed Zach LaVine as questionable, citing illness. Nique Clifford and Keegan Murray remain sidelined with hamstring and thumb injuries, respectively.
