The LA Lakers continued their four-game road trip on Saturday, when they made a short trip to the Intuit Dome to face the LA Clippers. The Lakers entered the game as winners of the first two games of their trip, while the Clippers have lost five in a row and nine of their last 10 games.
Coach JJ Redick won't have regular starters Austin Reaves and Deandre Ayton due to injuries. Both players are progressing, with Marcus Smart and Jaxson Hayes filling in temporarily for them. Luka Doncic, LeBron James and Rui Hachimura would be the first three options on offense.
Meanwhile, coach Ty Lue told reporters before the game that the Clippers' goal is to win 35 of their next 55 games. They want to finish the regular season with a 41-41 record, which is a tall task since they are currently 15th in the Western Conference at 6-21.
