Knicks’ Karl-Anthony Towns predicted to make $180 million decision like Jalen Brunson did

The New York Knicks have built a very good team because Jalen Brunson decided to take a discount on his contract. It was a strange decision by Brunson at the time, even if it worked out. 

At the end of the day, guys have to ensure that they get as much money as they're happy with, and Brunson seemingly did. 

He's also probably made a ton of money off the court playing for a storied franchise and just winning a championship. This seems to have worked out, but the Knicks can't expect other guys to do the same.

One guy who is eligible for an extension, Karl-Anthony Towns, could get a ton of money, with a four-year, $272 million deal being what he could land.

However, Stefan Bondy of the New York Post believes he'll be willing to take less, predicting he'll land just four years and $180 million.

“KAT’s eligible for a 4-year, $272M max extension,” Bondy wrote, H/T Heavy. “… How much of a discount is he willing to accept? Here’s a prediction for the deal: 4 years $180M”

Towns has already made $285.1 million in his career, according to Spotrac. 

It's obviously a ton of money, but adding another $272 million is a big difference compared to $180 million. I get that $180 million is a ton as well, but $100 million is $100 million at the end of the day.
