New York Knicks forward Josh Hart was bruised and battered throughout the 2025 NBA Playoffs.
The Knicks ultimately fell to the Indiana Pacers in the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals in six games, but Hart' unrelenting grit and hustle had a hand in propelling the team to its first trip to the NBA's penultimate postseason round since 2000.
On the way to New York's statement postseason run, Hart sustained a few injuries, some more visible than others.
As the 30-year-old wing prepares for another deep run with New York in 2025-26, recent updates revealed that he'll have to wait a while before resuming basketball activities due to one of his many ailments suffered during the 2025 postseason.
"New York Knicks swingman Josh Hart underwent a procedure on his right ring finger due to an injury sustained in the playoffs," HoopsHype's Michael Scotto shared via Twitter/X on Wednesday evening.
"He will resume basketball activities later in the summer, team says."
The 6-foot-4, jack-of-all-trades forward left everything he had on the floor for the Knicks in 2024-25 despite hobbling through the finish line due to various injuries.
While the reveal of his latest procedure adds another one onto the list, Hart also received a nasty elbow above his eye from ex-Boston Celtics center Luke Kornet during Game 5 of the 2025 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals and left Game 6 of the Conference Finals against the Pacers prematurely due to abdominal soreness.
Hart contributed 14.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists while knocking down an impressive 37.9% of his three-point attempts against Boston in the second round.
His numbers fell to 8.3 points and 9.3 rebounds on an 18.2% three-point shooting clip against the Pacers in the following series, but his lack of scoring aggression could be attributed to injury.
