Aside from being one of the league's most versatile role players, New York Knicks forward Josh Hart is most known for his social media antics. Since he has nothing to worry about this summer, he decided to have some fun at the start of free agency.
Starting Monday night at 6:00 pm Eastern, teams are able to negotiate deals with free agents across the league. In the past, multiple deals come flying in right when things officially get underway. However, that was not the case this time around.
After no deals emerged to kick off free agency, Hart decided to poke fun at things. He made a sarcastic post on X (formerly Twitter) about the sluggish start.
It’s 6:01 and I ain’t see one deal….what happened to the game I love?
— Josh Hart (@joshhart) June 30, 2025While he is under contract through next season, Hart is bracing for numerous changes to the roster around him. Fresh off reaching the conference finals for the first time in over two decades, the Knicks are eager to make more improvements to increase their title chances. Along with continuing their search for a new head coach, the front office will be in search of upgrades to the supporting cast around Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns.
In recent days, the Knicks have been linked to various players in rumors. They've mainly been tied to point guards as they attempt to secure a reliable backup behind Brunson. Among those cited as possible targets for New York include Tyus Jones and former MVP Russell Westbrook.
Based on his social media post, Hart appears to be one of many people in and around the league patiently waiting to see how things unfold to kick off free agency.
