Amid breakup rumors, Courtney Williams seemingly confirmed the split between DiJonai Carrington and NaLyssa Smith. Williams gave a toast during a recent stream, telling the viewers they were celebrating Carrington being "ready for the field."
On the latest live stream on their "Studbudz" Twitch channel, Williams and Natisha Heideman welcomed Carrington to the fray. Midway through the stream, Williams introduced booze and wanted to give a toast to all the success they had. She also mentioned Carrington's status as being "ready" to start dating again.
Carrington almost choked on her drink and laughed at what her teammate said. She played along and downed her booze, though she would later shake her head in hilarious disappointment.
"Knew she was doing something crazy," Carrington said.DiJonai Carrington and NaLyssa Smith have been together since 2020 during their time at Oregon, though they did endure a brief split last year. Carrington even supported Smith during the Las Vegas Aces' championship run.
However, the Minnesota Lynx guard shared cryptic messages in her recent posts on social media, prompting their fans to speculate that they have broken up. It didn't help that Carrington and Smith unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Following Courtney Williams' toast, it seemed like Smith didn't like what she saw and heard. One of their fans reported on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the Aces forward unfollowed both Williams and Natisha Hiedeman.
