Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion’s split has been hell for WNBA player Lexie Brown.
The Seattle Storm guard revealed this week that fans of the power couple believe she played a role in breaking up the two — and she said it’s actually resulted in her having to worry for her safety.
“I was getting threats on my life,” Brown told Fox News on Thursday. “I was getting threats on my health. My family started getting comments and threats from people. I’ve had to hire security to travel with me places. So it got to a point where I just was scared for myself.”

— Jackson Thompson (@JackThompsonFOX) April 30, 2026In confirming her separation from Thompson over the weekend, Megan Thee Stallion alleged on Instagram the former Warriors star cheated on her. People then somehow believed Thompson had an affair with Brown.
The 31-year-old hooper, though, adamantly denied the allegations, and was livid with Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion for not setting the record straight publicly.
“I’m still the only person that has denied this entire situation of my involvement and claimed that this is 100% false,” she said. “And the fact that I’m still the only one that is defending my name, I just I have no idea how to process that, and that’s the last thing that I’m like struggling to process is that there’s this massive outcry for protecting Black women and nobody has mentioned Lexie Brown’s name in any of those conversations.”
Brown didn’t seem to know how she even got involved in the rumors in the first place.
The Duke alum, who won a WNBA championship with the Sky in 2021, said she only knew Thompson through basketball circles, and has absolutely no relationship with Megan Thee Stallion.
“I have no idea what is going on,” she said. “I have no involvement. I’ve had no communication at all whatsoever during their relationship.”
Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion began dating last summer and quickly became inseparable. The two made public appearances regularly, and shared their love with their followers on their social media pages often.
In a statement to TMZ, the “Savage” crooner said she was the one who called things off with Thompson because “trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward.
“I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
