The Los Angeles Dodgers have built one of the best teams in all of Major League Baseball. Their rotation is great, the outfield with Kyle Tucker is incredible, and the infield is comprised of superstars. Even the bullpen looks a lot better for 2026.
But one of the areas where the Dodgers could improve is with their depth, especially with their position players. Fortunately, the Dodgers got some good news.
According to fan favorite 3-time World Series champion Kike Hernandez on his Instagram, he is coming back to the Dodgers for the 2026 MLB season.

Hernandez posted a photo on the team bus during the World Series parade, with the caption, "What else did you expect?!!! 3 in a row has a nice ring to it! #WeBack."
If it wasn't clear enough, Hernandez is coming back to the Dodgers roster for another season. He's 34 years old and has played with the Dodgers for nine years, being a part of all three of their World Series teams.
In the postseason, Hernandez seemingly finds another gear. He has a .272 batting average in the postseason with an .826 OPS across 103 postseason games.

Compared to the regular season, across 1,275 games in 12 years, Hernandez is hitting .236 with a .707 OPS. Those aren't terrible numbers by any means, but his postseason performance highlights how he's one of the most clutch players in MLB history.
Getting Hernandez back, a beloved versatile player who's spent the majority of his career in Los Angeles, is some huge news for the Dodgers.
He'll be playing in his 10th season with the Dodgers, and will look to provide more production for a Dodgers team looking to three-peat, and do what the Kansas City Chiefs could not.
