Khamzat Chimaev sends two-word congratulatory message after Islam Makhachev's stunning UFC 322 win

All eyes were on the UFC 322 main event with Islam Makhachev chasing two-division glory. The Russian went up against welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena and produced an incredible performance.

The Dagestan star used all of his wrestling abilities to become the new UFC welterweight champion and celebrated wildly.

There were many plaudits for Makhachev after this win. Dana White suggested that the Dagestani could be on the road to becoming the greatest of all time if he continued performing like this.

There was also a congratulatory message from Khamzat Chimaev. The current UFC middleweight champion posted a two-word message to Makhachev.

There has been some friction between Chimaev and other Dagestani fighters in the past. It stems from a rivalry between two regions, Chechnya and Dagestan. However, it seems that Chimaev put that aside for one night and praised the Dagestani for a great performance.

Islam Makhachev preparing for his next fight?

It seems that the new champion doesn’t want to waste a lot of time and get back to defending the gold.

Makhachev spoke to Joe Rogan after his fight and was asked what’s next for the champion. The Russian didn’t skip a beat and said he wants to fight at the White House event and even named Donald Trump.

"Donald Trump, let's go. Open the White House, I'm coming."

The UFC White House event is scheduled for 14 June 2026 and is expected to be one of the biggest cards ever.

Dana White also spoke about this event and suggested that Makhachev could be on the card. The UFC president doesn’t see the event as an America vs. The world clash.

There are no fights confirmed for this card yet, with White planning talks in February 2026.
