Kevin Federline claimed that a phone call with Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan was the “final straw” in his marriage to the singer.
In his newly released memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” the former backup dancer alleges the singer had a pattern of prioritizing partying with her friends over taking care of their kids.
“I was in Miami for work, trying to stay focused on my commitments, and I got a call,” he writes of one particularly scarring moment, per TMZ.
“It was her, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan on the line, drunk as hell, begging me to come over. I could hear Preston and Jayden crying in the background. It had to be three or four in the morning. That call was the final straw.”
He continues, “I’d already seen the photos in the tabloids, the ones of her out with them all night, partying at Paris’s Malibu place.
“But hearing my kids crying while she was doing God-knows-what? That was it. Any deep-seated sliver of hope that I’d held onto, that we might still somehow pull it together for the kids, died right then.”
Federline, now 47, details that Spears, now 43, “wasn’t ready to change” and he “couldn’t keep waiting for her to figure it out.”

Federline and Spears were married for only two years when she filed to dissolve the union in November 2006, and the divorce was finalized in July 2007.
The former couple welcomed Sean Preston and Jayden in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
In his book, K-Fed also reveals that being slapped by the “Toxic” singer changed their short-lived marriage.
At the time, Spears allegedly went on a “rampage” after one of his friends dropped marijuana off at their home.
However, it allegedly wasn’t the last time that things got violent between them, as he details a fight where the “Crossroads” star threw a drink at him.
He claims that he caught “Britney and [a] young starlet friend snorting a fat line of coke off the table” during his “Playing With Fire” album release party in 2006.
After he begged her not to go home and breastfeed their kids due to her drug use, she allegedly threw a drink in his face.
“That was the proverbial final straw, the breast-feeding thing. Her reaction. That’s what ended us,” he writes.
Federline also makes more disturbing allegations against the “Circus” songstress in his book, including that she punched their eldest son in the face, wished their kids were dead and would watch them sleep with a knife in her hands.
He also accused her of cheating early in their relationship and reaching out to her ex Justin Timberlake one day before their wedding.
Although neither Spears nor her camp has responded to each specific allegation, one of her reps told Page Six, “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again, he and others are profiting off her.
“Sadly, it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,” the rep noted.
According to Spears’ rep, “all she cares about are her kids … and their well-being during this sensationalism.”
The rep also pointed out that the singer has already “detailed her journey in her memoir,” “The Woman in Me,” which came out in October 2023.
Spears also took to social media herself to write in part, “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting.
“I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years. I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same,” she later added.
In a second post, she blasted him for spreading a false narrative about her.
“Why is HE SO ANGRY … and what’s scary is he’s convincing,” she said of how Federline puts on a sob story act for the cameras. “It literally blows my mind the moments he stops before he cries are you f–king serious.”
