Kevin Durant goes viral after latest social media troll job

Kevin Durant's future with the Phoenix Suns is quite up in the air heading into the offseason, as he could end up getting traded to a new team after he was nearly traded back to the Golden State Warriors ahead of the trade deadline this year. Based on his latest social media interactions, that would have been a move that a large faction of fans couldn't have handled.

Back in 2016, Durant shocked the NBA when he decided to sign with the Warriors in free agency, joining a team that has just made it to the previous two Finals, winning in 2015 before losing a year later. Golden State became a dynasty, winning back-to-back titles before losing in 2019, leading to Durant's departure.

For four years in a row, the Warriors met up with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals, with the Dubs coming out victorious three times. On Friday, when a fan lamented how Durant's decision prevented the Cavaliers from forming their own dynasty, the Suns superstar forward fired back with a savage message.

"I rejoice every morning that it didn’t happen," Durant said of the potential dynasty he helped destroy in Cleveland.

Whether or not the Cavs would have beaten the Warriors in either 2017 or 2018 had they not had Durant at their disposal is unknown, but it certainly would have given them a better shot to come out on top. Instead, Kyrie Irving requested a trade out of Cleveland in 2017, and the Cavaliers eventually crumbled.

Durant departed for the Brooklyn Nets in free agency after leaving the Warriors, teaming up with Irving and James Harden to form their own super team. That didn't work out, resulting in forming a new star-studded squad with the Suns. However, that has gone up in flames as well, and it could result in Durant being involved in another blockbuster trade this offseason.
