Live with Kelly and Mark fans may kick off their mornings with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, but the co-host couple jokingly eyed another airtime on Tuesday’s episode.
After Consuelos told viewers that he went to the gym prior to the show this morning, Ripa pointed out that was “so early.”
“What is going on with you? Who are you getting ready for?” she quipped.
Consuelos shared that he “had to cancel” his original workout this afternoon because he is playing golf.
Ripa joked, “How you suffer for your craft.”
While Consuelos claimed that “working out at 6 a.m. is great,” though Ripa begged to differ.
“Working out at the time we typically work out is not great. Working out at 6 a.m. isn’t great. Do you know the best workout hour? Right now,” she explained.
Consuelos agreed, “It’s true. You have a cup of coffee, you have a little breakfast.”
Ripa doubled down on her claim, saying that “they’ve done studies on it.”
“This job is interfering with my physical fitness, Gelman,” she teased Live‘s EP Michael Gelman.
Consuelos and Ripa then proposed that they “move the show.”

“We should move it to, like, 11 o’clock,” he said. “The View won’t mind, right?”
Ripa added, “We could swap with The View!”
While Live is national syndicated by Disney Entertainment and produced by WABC-TV in New York, The View — which is led by Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sara Haines — airs on weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
While Gelman quipped “that’s a great idea,” Ripa echoed that the move is “perfect” for her and Consuelos.
“That way we could still be physically fit and host the show,” she concluded.
