Keenan Allen hit with drunk driving charges as Colts star’s alleged blood alcohol level revealed

Prosecutors formally hit NFL star Keenan Allen with two criminal charges on Tuesday after cops accused him of drinking and driving in Indiana late last month.

Court records viewed by the California Post show the 34-year-old Colts wide receiver was tagged with one misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle with alcohol concentration equivalent to .15 or more and one misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Authorities claim Allen committed the crimes on Aug. 30.

Allen was stopped by cops in downtown Indianapolis after his car was seen in a no-parking zone, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, and he allegedly showed signs of impairment during an ensuing investigation.

Allen was taken into custody just after 1 a.m. and was not released until around 4 p.m. During his time behind bars, he took a mugshot that appeared to show he had red, glassy eyes.

A spokesperson for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office told The Post on Aug. 31 that they were awaiting “laboratory results necessary to make a formal charging determination.”

Requests seeking comment from Allen’s attorneys on Tuesday were not immediately returned.

Allen signed with the Colts on Aug. 18 after spending the majority of his NFL career with the Chargers.

He played in Indianapolis’ season-opening loss to the Ravens on Sunday, catching six passes for 32 yards.
