The Cleveland Browns had a very strong 2026 NFL Draft class, adding Spencer Fano and KC Concepcion in Round 1, then adding Denzel Boston and Emmanuel McNeill-Warren in Round 2.
Those picks were great additions to the roster, and while Fano was a big need, and both Boston and McNeill-Warren were incredible values, the best fit of this bunch might be Concepcion.
ESPN's Matt Bowen highlighted Concepcion to the Browns as a great fit. But the reason why Concepcion is a good fit with the Browns is interesting, as Zay Flowers is the reason why the Browns' rookie 1st rounder is a good pickup for Todd Monken's offense.
Why KC Concepcion is a good fit with Browns thanks to Zay Flowers
"Under new coach Todd Monken, Concepcion can play a similar role to Zay Flowers in Baltimore," Bowen writes. "An extremely sudden mover, Concepcion has the stop-and-start speed to create easy separation out of the slot. Plus, he can use that foot quickness to evade press coverage."
Monken utilized Flowers well in Baltimore when he was their offensive coordinator, and now in Cleveland, calling the shots, it would not be a surprise if Concepcion got plenty of work this season.
Both receivers are shifty targets, but there is one advantage that Concepcion has over Flowers: the new Browns receiver is a bit bigger. Flowers is 5-foot-9, 183 pounds, while Concepcion is 5-foot-11, 190 pounds.

If Concepcion turns into a bigger version of Flowers, who had 1,211 yards and five touchdowns on 86 receptions this past season under Monken, then the Browns 1st-round pick was a home run.
Monken was able to utilize Flowers well in Baltimore, and now he has Concepcion, who has similar big-play upside and quickness.
Concepcion pick is a great fit in the Browns offense, and it's thanks in part to how good Flowers fit with the Ravens under Monken.
He's already a good enough player to get excited about, but adding in the fit with Monken's offense as a bigger version of what he had in Baltimore with Flowers, this pick has a chance to be an instant success this upcoming season.
