The Buffalo Sabres bang a drum before each of their home games.
The drummer starts a chant of "Let's go Buffalo!" for all the Western New York faithful in attendance. William Fichtner handled the honors for Game 1 of the series against the Canadiens, but with Game 2 on Friday, another drummer is needed.
The Sabres don't generally announce who will be doing it beforehand.
Rumors come out, though, and if Friday's is true, it's exciting.

Who is banging the drum at the Sabres game tonight?
The rumor circulating is that it'll be Ryan Miller, the legendary Sabres goalie.
That was reported by local TV producer Michael Loffredo:
BREAKING: Sources tell me that @RyanMiller3039 is banging the drum tonight prior to game 2 between the Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens.
LETS GO BUFFALO!
It hasn't been confirmed by anyone, but that's the news circulating at the moment.

Who is Ryan Miller?
Miller is a goalie who played his first 11 NHL seasons with the Sabres in Buffalo.
They drafted him in the fifth round of the 1999 NHL Draft, and after a college career at Michigan State, he came to Buffalo.
He won 284 games in goal for Buffalo with a 91.6 save percentage and 2.60 goals against average.
He won the Vezina Trophy in 2009-10 as he went 41-18-8 with a 92.9 save percentage and 2.22 goals against average.
Miller is 45 years old now, and he hasn't played in the NHL since 2021. He concluded his career with stints with the Blues, Canucks and Ducks.
Now, if rumors are true, he's got a crowd to get fired up.
