Kayla Nicole wasn’t ready for it.
The “Pre-Game” host revealed a recent four-figure vet bill on her podcast — and subtly shaded her ex-boyfriend Travis Kelce while doing so.
The pricey payment came up on Saturday’s “Pre-Game” episode when guest Nazanin Mandi mentioned she and her ex-husband, Miguel, each have custody of one of their cats.
“Now how did y’all come to that decision?” Nicole asked. “I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dogs.”
The 33-year-old emphasized that she took “full responsibility” of Chauncey Gallagher Kelce The First and Rambo following her and Kelce’s 2022 split.
“I had a dog bill the other day that was 2,000 dollars,” she continued, before clarifying that she “love[s her] kids.”

However, the fitness influencer again asked Mandi, “How did you come to that conclusion? Because that’s impressive.”
Nicole went on to praise the model and Miguel, gushing, “That speaks to the relationship you guys still have. That means you guys are in a good, healthy, safe space to be able to make adult decisions.”
This weekend’s episode was not the first time Nicole has dissed Kelce, 35, over their pooches.
Last year, the Tribe Therepē creator referred to herself as a “clown” via Instagram when she “woke up to not one, not two, not three, five piles of s–t in [her] house [of] liquid diarrhea [with] blood in the stool.”
Nicole paid $1,000 at the time, asking, “Do I have kids, or do I not have kids? Am I a single mother?”
She went on to sarcastically say that she was “not on the verge of a mental breakdown” and felt “fine, absolutely fine” over her “brand-new rug” being ruined in the August 2024 rant.
She subsequently posted a crying pic with the caption, “My face while reading all your get pet insurance messages when I barely want the health insurance/dental insurance/ car insurance/ life insurance/ renters insurance/ breathing air insurance that I got now.”
Nicole and Kelce adopted Chauncey and Rambo during their on-again, off-again relationship, which began in 2017.
Three months after their May 2022 breakup, Nicole tweeted about having “separation anxiety from [her] dog children.”
It is unclear how long the Kansas City Chiefs player had the canines and when Nicole took “full responsibility” of them.
Kelce has been dating Taylor Swift since the summer of 2023.
Nicole, for her part, told listeners over the weekend that she is “lonely” and “struggling” in her current “single season.”
