NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Kaden Honeycutt won the Krush 250 held at South Boston Speedway on November 8, 2025. Later, during a post-race interview, Honeycutt opened up about his fierce battle with Bobby McCarty.
The Truck Series driver qualified third for the 265-lap race in his #17H ride with a best time of 15.151 seconds. While McCarty was sixth in the qualifying session with a best lap time of 15.200 seconds. Following a good start, the duo had an intense battle during the closing laps of the 265-lap race.
On the overtime restart, McCarty had an unsatisfactory launch following the track conditions after he picked the inside lane. Then at turns 1 and 2, the duo went side-by-side, and Honeycutt slid at turns 3 and 4. But then he pulled ahead down the front stretch to secure his second victory. Reflecting on his battle with McCarty, Kaden Honeycutt told Matt Weaver [00:19 onward]:
“I made my adjustments in car to be able to roll the bottom as hard as possible, and we just got there off of (Turn) 2, and we were even in the 3, and next thing I knew, I was clear. I didn’t know if I hit him or not. I don’t think I did. I didn’t feel it. “I love Bobby to death. We race really, really hard and really well, and we both had really great race cars. Before that, these cars on these heat cycles, it just messed the front up on our car and made us tight. I fired back off, and it went right back to where it was on the first run,” he added.Kaden Honeycutt crossed the finish line in first place at the South Boston Speedway, adding a second victory to his career. Meanwhile, Bobby McCarty wrapped the 265-lap race as the runner-up, 0.508 seconds behind the Truck Series driver.
