Jutta Leerdam is going all in for Olympic gold — and her latest TikTok shows just how much she’s sacrificing to make it happen.
The Dutch speedskating champion posted a heartfelt video montage on Tuesday, May 20, set to somber music, writing, “Saying goodbye to everything for 10 months so y’all can cheer for me at the Olympics.” The reel features her waving goodbye to her dog, a bicycle trail that she rides, her beachside life, and a tearful goodbye with fiancé Jake Paul. Her caption says, “My heart couldn’t handle posting all this in the moment... I will see my Fiancé (and hopefully Thor) sooner.”
@juttaleerdam My heart couldn’t handle posting all this in the moment so posting it now :(. I will see my Fiancé (and hopefully Thor) sooner @Jake Paul ♬ som original - WE ARE 00h.03m 🇨🇭The comment section quickly turned into a chorus of encouragement. “You got the diamond, now the gold babes,” one fan wrote, referencing her engagement ring. Another added, “Most people don’t see the sacrifices top athletes have to make, they only see the success.”
Others commented on her relationship, calling it inspiring and supportive. “Jake looks so sad. I’m sad,” one follower said, while another noted, “You’ve made him soft in the best way.”
Leerdam, 26, already one of the most dominant and recognizable faces in her sport, is heading into a pivotal stretch with the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics just months away. And judging by her fan support — and the emotional strength she’s showing — she won’t be skating alone.
