Juan Soto doesn't sound like he regrets his massive $765 million contract with the New York Mets.
He could have opted to stay with the New York Yankees after the AL East club's run to the 2024 World Series. Instead, Soto chose their rival in Queens.
For Soto, an All-Star for the fifth time in his already impressive career, the past is the past.
While taking questions from the media at this year's All-Star Game, including in Philadelphia, Soto revealed his true feelings about whether he misses playing for the Yankees.
"I'm good, thank God," Soto said, translated from Spanish to English by Phillip Velez on X. "I don't have any mindset of missing anything, the past is the past. Of course, they're still my friends. We stay in touch, we talk, and we chat, but thank God, I'm good where I am right now."
The Mets outbid the Yankees for Soto during his free agency during the offseason following the 2024 season.
According to ESPN's Jorge Castillo, the Yankees offered the left-handed hitter a 16-year, $760 million contract.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman quickly pivoted, signing left-hander Max Fried and making a trade with the Chicago Cubs for former NL MVP Cody Bellinger.
At the All-Star break, the Mets are 40-57 and have the second-worst record in the NL.
Meanwhile, the Yankees are 54-42, holding the first AL Wild Card spot and three games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for first place in the AL East.
