This offseason, the game plan for the New York Knicks' front office was making improvements in the margins. With the roster almost complete, one key member praised arguably their top addition in free agency.
Over the past few years, the Knicks have made big trades to bring in core pieces like OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, and Karl-Anthony Towns. Now, the task is putting the right group of complementary players around them and Jalen Brunson. Among the new faces that were brought in this offseason is former Sixth Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson.
Upon being bought out by the Utah Jazz earlier this summer, Clarkson signed with the Knicks when he hit free agency. Many have applauded the addition, with Josh Hart being among the most recent to do so. During a recent episode of his "Roommates Show" with Brunson, he touched on how the veteran guard will mesh with what they've built in New York.
"Great dude, gonna fit right into the culture that we have," Hart said of Clarkson. "Someone that can create his own shot, can break down the defense. We needed that at time last year so it will be a great addition in terms of role and also as a locker room guy."

— Roommates Show (@Roommates__Show) July 17, 2025Hart is slightly biased, as he and Clarkson were teammates earlier in their careers on the LA Lakers. Nonetheless, he seems eager to reunite in the Big Apple.
As Hart mentioned, Clarkson will have a key role on the Knicks. As a proven microwave scorer, he'll be tasked with providing a necessary scoring punch off the bench. His shot-creating abilities will be crucial in the minutes when Brunson is off the floor.
After years of being on a rebuilding Jazz team, Clarkson finds himself with a chance to prove he can be a vital piece on a contender.
