Never before has a Buffalo Bills player been given the honor that Josh Allen was on Monday.
Allen earned a 99 rating from the EA Sports Madden NFL video game. He was one of seven players chosen to be a 99 for this season's edition of the game.
He's the first Bills player ever to be a 99, per gaming reporter Mike Straw.
Maybe if Madden had existed in the '70s, O.J. Simpson would've earned a 99.
But in the nearly four-decade history of the game, Allen is the first Buffalo 99.

He certainly earned it. He was just the NFL MVP.
Allen and Lamar Jackson are the two QBs chosen as 99s.
There was some backlash on social media that they were chosen and not Patrick Mahomes, but statistically, Mahomes simply hasn't been as good as this duo for the last few years.
Now it's up to Allen to live up to the rating.
