Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is dealing with a right foot injury he suffered in the 23-20 win against the Cleveland Browns. Nonetheless, this won't stop the quarterback from playing against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17. According to the Bills' coach Sean McDermott, Allen will be out on the field with no restrictions.

“Should be good to go," McDermott said on Friday. "Yeah, the soreness is kind of dissipated day to day as we move through the week here. So, he should be in a good spot.”

Allen was a full participant in Friday’s practice after being limited in Wednesday's and Thursday's walk-through and sitting out Tuesday’s session entirely. The quarterback also carried no injury designation on the Bills’ final injury report, placing him in a good spot ahead of the game.

During the portion of practice open to the media, Josh Allen showed no visible brace or support on his right foot while stretching. This offers fans and fantasy managers a lot of confidence ahead of the high-stakes encounter where the Bills welcome the Eagles to Highmark Stadium.

Allen has been incredibly healthy since he began his NFL career. The quarterback hasn’t missed a game since his rookie season, starting 125 consecutive games. He's played through a series of injuries in his eight-year career, including a UCL injury in 2022 and a sore shoulder in 2023.

The Bills set to miss multiple starters amid Josh Allen's boost

Despite having positive news on Josh Allen, it's not all good for the Buffalo Bills injury-wise heading into Week 17. The Bills will be missing several key defensive starters, including safety Jordan Poyer (hamstring) and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf), on Sunday.

Furthermore, Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (ankle) and kicker Matt Prater (right quad) are also slated to sit out their second consecutive game, creating some concerns for the team. Practice squad kicker Michael Badgley will step in for Prater against the Eagles.

On offense, both tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox are listed as questionable for the game after limited participation in Friday’s practice. According to coach Sean McDermott, Kincaid has missed some reps this week as the Bills continue to manage a lingering injury.

Nonetheless, having Josh Allen available for the game comes as a big boost for the Bills despite the other injuries. With both the Bills and the Eagles already secured a spot in the playoffs, McDermott believes that won't overly change the dynamics of the game.
