Josh Allen has hilarious reaction to learning he was mic’d up by ‘sneaky’ social team

Josh Allen had a hilarious reaction when he figured out he was mic'd up before kickoff. 

The Buffalo Bills social media team shared a moment when Allen jokingly called them out for being "tricky" and "naughty" for micing him up without him knowing. What made the moment even funnier was that he explained that this is actually a request that he made to the team not to be notified when he's mic'd up.

Speaking to the camera, Allen says: "I always tell the team here in Buffalo don't let me know when I'm mic'd up because I act differently."

"Am I mic'd up?" Allen asks veteran NFL referee Ronald Torbert on the field.

He then looks into his jersey to check if he sees a mic on him, to which he tells Torbert, "I haven't heard that. I don't feel it on me."

Torbert responds, "Okay," to which Allen interjects, "Unless they're lying to me."

The Bills QB asks, "Do you see a mic?" as he peeks into his jersey to look again.

Torbert responded, "I don't see a mic, but I thought I saw you..."

The video then turns to Allen facing the Bills' social team, "Ahh, you got me," before telling them, "Actually, I'll tell you who ruined it. It was Ron, the ref. I didn't know I was mic'd up until he said something."

He then begins to jokingly wag his finger, "Tricky, tricky, naughty, naughty, very sneaky."

Josh Allen makes Forrest Gump impression

Allen being mic'd up has led to some more funny moments for the Buffalo Bills quarterback.

The social team mic'ing up Allen led to a moment during their last game against the Detroit Lions on Thursday, September 17. Allen was on the sidelines speaking with offensive tackle Spencer Brown when he began doing an impression of Tom Hanks' iconic character, Forrest Gump.

Brown pulls Allen in for a hug after their 31-41 win over Detroit and says, "Good game, partner. Love ya."

"I'm tired. I think I'll go home now," Allen said in his best Forrest Gump impression.

When do the Bills play next?

Allen and the rest of the Bills will play against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET. There's no word on whether Allen will be mic'd up again, but clearly he has a knack for comedy.
