The Green Bay Packers have not one but two injury concerns at the quarterback position in Week 17.
Not only is starting quarterback Jordan Love in the concussion protocol, but backup signal-caller Malik Willis is dealing with a shoulder injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
"Packers QB Jordan Love is in the concussion protocol, while Malik Willis also has a shoulder injury," Rapoport said.
As far as their respective statuses for Week 17 are concerned, it is still too early to tell if either one will be able to suit up. The Packers will provide their first injury report on Tuesday, so we'll know more than.
In order to clear the protocol, Love will have to practice, and will have to do so on a full basis before being cleared by an independent neurologist.
Love suffered his concussion in the second quarter of the loss to the Chicago Bears on Saturday after taking a big hit to the head from a Bears defender. He was unable to return to the contest, which led to Willis coming into the game.
Willis' injury occurred in the second half, when he took a hit and had a Bears defender land hard on his shoulder.
The severity of Willis' injury is unknown as of this writing.
The Packers' Week 17 opponent, the Baltimore Ravens, have their own injury issue at quarterback after Lamar Jackson exited the Sunday night loss to the New England Patriots early because of a back injury.
Jackson has been diagnosed with a back bruise and is considered day to day, but he did not confirm whether or not he'll be able to go on Saturday against Green Bay.
"Yeah, that's the goal," Jackson said of playing in Week 17, per ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "We're going to do a little [MRI] scan [Monday] and then see what it shows."
"I don't know how serious it'll be," head coach John Harbaugh said of Jackson's injury. "We'll have to find out over the next couple of days."
Like the Packers, the Ravens will drop their first injury report of the week on Tuesday, so we'll have a better idea of where Jackson stands then.
