John Cena's Last Time is Now Tournament to be ruined by top WWE faction? Potential explored

John Cena is nearing the end of his year-long farewell tour in WWE, with only four appearances left before retiring from in-ring competition. The GOAT will wrestle his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event XLII on December 13. Cena announced a 16-man Last Time is Now Tournament to determine his final opponent.

The tournament will begin on next week's episode of WWE RAW, which is set to take place in Cena's hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. The first two matches have already been announced: Sheamus vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev vs. Damian Priest.

However, what if the Triple H-led creative team adds a shocking twist to spice things up? In an interesting possibility, The Wyatt Sicks could ruin the Last Time is Now Tournament before it can even begin.

Bray Wyatt and John Cena share a storied history. While it may not be as long as some of Cena's other memorable rivalries, it surely has had a lasting impact. Earlier this year, when The Franchise Player shockingly turned heel and abandoned everything he stood for, clips from his feud with Wyatt resurfaced, in which The Eater of Worlds accurately predicted this.

While Bray Wyatt may no longer be with us, his memory lives on in the form of The Wyatt Sicks. The eerie faction, led by Uncle Howdy, is currently a part of SmackDown. With John Cena set to conclude his in-ring career soon, a brief rivalry between him and The Wyatt Sicks would make a perfect tribute to the late Bray Wyatt.

The faction could ruin the Last Time is Now Tournament by attacking the participants set to compete next week. Uncle Howdy could reminisce about Bray and announce his intention to retire John Cena. That said, while it could be exciting, this scenario is only speculative at this point.

John Cena could challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship

CM Punk opened this week's episode of Monday Night RAW, celebrating his World Heavyweight Title win at Saturday Night's Main Event XLI last weekend. The Second City Saint vowed to be a fighting champion and namedropped several potential challengers he would like to face, including John Cena.

Following the show, a report by Fightful Select suggested that there have been internal discussions about having Cena win another world title before retiring. The GOAT only has four appearances left in his retirement tour, and a potential title match against CM Punk would be a good use for one of them.

That said, nothing has been confirmed as of now.
