John Calipari, Arkansas showing interest in Duke star's brother

John Calipari already has the Arkansas Razorbacks looking like a team to watch for the 2025-26 college basketball season. After leaving the Kentucky Wildcats job to join Arkansas last offseason, Calipari wasted no time starting to turn the program around.

Throughout the course of the 2024-25 campaign, he Razorbacks went 22-14. Calipari led them to the NCAA Tournament, where they were a No. 10 seed.

Not only did Arkansas make the tournament, but the team made some noise as well.

In round one, the Razorbacks defeated the No. 7 seed Kansas Jayhawks. They backed that up by pulling off a huge upset in round two over Rick Pitino and the No. 2 seeded St. John's Red Storm.

Unfortunately, that is where Calipari and Arkansas' season came to an end. They lost in the Sweet 16 to No. 3 seed Texas Tech by a final score of 85-83. Despite the loss, the program put together a huge overall win to begin Calipari's tenure.

To take the next step, the Razorbacks will simply need to keep adding talent. Calipari seemingly has his eyes on the brother of Duke Blue Devils star Kon Knueppel, who is expected to be a top-10 pick in the upcoming 2025 NBA Draft.

As shared by SLAM High School on Instagram, Calipari has interest in Kager Knueppel.

Knueppel is a small forward prospect in the 2027 recruiting class. He has not been receiving much hype, but his brother has opened some eyes to what the family can do on the court.

Right now, there is no ranking or star grade for the younger Knueppel. However, Calipari and the Razorbacks are interested and his name will likely continue to rising in the coming weeks and months.
