Just weeks after taking home yet another July 4th hot dog title, Joey Chestnut was back doing what he does best, this time with bananas, whipped cream, and a packed stadium watching.
During a Savannah Bananas tour stop at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday night, Chestnut set a new record by devouring 14 “Banana Dogs” in just three minutes, a zany surprise cooked up by Aramark Sports + Entertainment in collaboration with the viral baseball sensation.
The Banana Dog, a wild dessert-style spin on ballpark fare, features a whole banana tucked into a caramelized New England roll, topped with whipped cream, strawberries, and chocolate syrup. The treat was created by Aramark to match the Bananas' over-the-top game day vibe and is available this summer at select Aramark venues.
Chestnut’s competition? Two members of the Savannah Bananas’ dad-bod cheer squad, the Man-Nanas, who could only manage a combined total of eight.
The stunt took place during the fourth inning in right field and caught fans completely off guard, drawing massive cheers and flashbulbs across the ballpark.

The moment not only set a record but also spotlighted Aramark’s growing role in turning traditional sporting events into full-blown food and entertainment experiences.
Chestnut’s Banana Dog blitz capped off a gameday that blended viral antics, baseball, and next-level food in the most Bananas way possible.
