Fifth seeds Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski will face eighth seeds Christian Harrison and Ryan King in the group stage of the ATP Finals 2025.

Salisbury and Skupski beat fourth seeds Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo 6-3, 7-5 to begin their ATP Finals campaign. They were up against the second seeded team of Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara in their next match of the group stage.

The first set went down to the wire, with Salisbury and Skupski edging past their opponents in the tie-break to take the set. Patten and Heliovaara fought back to claim the second set. With the fate of the match being decided by the deciding set tie-break, the Brits outplayed their higher-ranked opponents for a 7-6 (7), 3-6, 10-7 win.

Harrison and King went down 6-4, 6-4 against Patten and Heliovaara in their first group match. They took on Pavic and Arevalo in their next group tie. The first two sets were split between the two teams, with each pair capturing the set with a strong showing in the tie-break.

The third-set shootout featured plenty of momentum shifts. The American duo's 3-0 lead was negated, and they even saved a match point. Harrison and King were on the cusp of victory twice but blew both of their match points, eventually losing the match 7-6 (5), 6-7 (2), 13-11.

Harrison and King took the tour by storm at the start of the season, with their fresh pairing giving the veterans a run for their money. They won three titles and made several deep runs. However, their form has taken a hit in the second half of the year. Their ATP Finals debut hasn't gone to plan, and their loss to Pavic and Arevalo extended their losing streak to five matches.

Harrison and King were eliminated from the tournament following their loss to Pavic and Arevalo. Their match against Salisbury and Skupski will be a dead rubber. However, they will aim to end their season on a winning note at the very least.

Salisbury and Skupski are already through to the semifinals. This is their last chance to win a trophy this year. They were the only team to qualify for the ATP Finals without a title. They were the finalists at the French Open and the US Open, as well as in Toronto, Doha and Barcelona.

Harrison and King won their first two matches against the Brits in straight sets. They almost made it three in a row after taking the first set of their French Open showdown. However, Salisbury and Skupski managed to stage a comeback. They should be able to notch another win based on their respective form at the moment.

Pick: Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski to win in three sets.
