The Los Angeles Lakers have gone on a run since the All-Star break, having now won six of their last seven matchups.
A critical win Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves moved them to fourth in the Western Conference standings, trailing the Houston Rockets by half a game for third.
Luka Doncic stole the show in Tuesday's win, posting a triple-double with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
Austin Reaves did the same with a scorching second half performance. After scoring two points in the first two frames, Reaves came out on fire after the intermission, scoring 29 points between the third and fourth quarters.
Luke Kennard scored 10 points off the bench, continuing to showcase his effectiveness off the ball.
Following the game, head coach JJ Redick spoke about Kennard's impressive shooting season and what he's brought to the table since being acquired by the Atlanta Hawks at the trade deadline.
“He’ll have a six-minute run and take one and he’ll sit for 15 minutes in real time and then come back in and take another one. It’s really impressive. I thought he was a really good shooter at Duke. He’s developed into an elite shooter and really just a fantastic playmaker.”
Currently, Kennard's three-point percentage sits at 49.5%. Only six qualified players have ever finished a season shooting 50% or higher from beyond the arc, most notably sharpshooter Kyle Korver and Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr who did it three times.
Kennard will have another chance to improve on his percentage Thursday against the Chicago Bulls.
