Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady has come under scrutiny after his team suffered a 23-19 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 12 on Thursday night. The Bills looked disjointed on offense and couldn't really get flowing at NRG Stadium in Houston.

Even Jill Kelly, wife of former Buffalo Bills QB Jim Kelly, slammed Brady for his poor play-calling on Thursday night. Jill quoted a tweet from ardent Bills fan Del Reid, who described the situation as the "most unimaginative play calling.".

Bills quarterback Josh Allen struggled to make some important passes during the game. He went 24 of 34 for 253 yards and two interceptions, adding 20 yards on five carries, but couldn't stop Buffalo from falling to its fourth loss of the season.

Allen also vented his frustrations over the play calling in the fourth quarter, when he threw his helmet on the ground after the Bills failed to convert a 4th & 1.

With the loss to Houston, Buffalo remained second in the AFC East. The Bills might need to be flawless for the rest of the season and hope that the New England Patriots lose some games if they want to win a sixth straight divisional title.

The Bills hired Brady as their quarterbacks coach in February 2022. He was promoted to interim offensive coordinator in November 2023. The Bills gave Brady the offensive coordinator role ahead of the 2024 season, and he has held the role ever since.

Joe Brady's Bills will lock horns with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season on Nov. 30. The game will get underway from 4:25 p.m. ET at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers (6-4) are at the summit of the AFC North. Pittsburgh will square off against the Chicago Bears in its Week 12 game on Sunday before hosting Buffalo.
