Jim Harbaugh supports his players in their quest for love.

Justin Herbert missed Phase 2 of the Los Angeles Chargers' voluntary OTA workouts to support his girlfriend, Madison Beer, for the beginning of her Locket Tour in Poland. When Herbert returned,  Harbaugh, who is the head coach of the Chargers, was "excited" to have his QB1 back on the field. He also was very supportive of Herbert wanting to support his girlfriend.

"He told me he wasn't gonna be here for those two weeks and my first reaction was, 'Do you need a ride to the airport?'" Harbaugh told reporters in a May 27 press conference.

Harbaugh added that Beer has also been a great support system for Herbert as she has been present during several games throughout the season, cheering the team on. The head coach added that Herbert is very disciplined and is always supporting his team and never misses a chance to workout.

"He's just been somebody that – he's just here all the time," Harbaugh said. "There's times I've wanted to shoo him out of the building. He's at every voluntary, every nonvoluntary workout. It's the same guy that broke his hand and then the next day he was here practicing. The next game, stiff-arming guys. So, yeah, I was happy."

Herbert and Beer have been dating for about 10 months after they sparked romance rumors in August 2025 when he was spotted at the set of her music video. Coincidentally, where they first sparked dating rumors ended up coming full circle as the quarterback was recently in a music video with Beer as her love interest. The music video for "lovergirl" premiered earlier this month.
