Jamal Adams has bounced around the NFL just a bit since leaving the New York Jets.
The former Jets defensive superstar wants to return to his NFL home.
“I would love to be back with the Jets and, obviously, finish it the right way,” Adams said on The Jets Lounge. “Man, that would be a dream come true, just to patch up that relationship and kind of make it work. Just come in there as a seasoned vet and give game to the young cats and help in any way, shape or form I can. I know I can still play football. I’m healthy and I can impact the game in a lot of ways. I just need that fair opportunity to come in and showcase what I can do.”
The Jets took Adams in the first round in 2017.
He ascended to a spot as a first-team All-Pro in 2019.
New York traded him to the Seahawks for two first-round picks in 2020.

Injuries limited Adams in his latter Seattle stages. He has since played for the Titans and Lions.
Adams has familiarity with new Jets head coach Aaron Glenn, who he played for in Detroit.
Turning 30 years old in October, Adams probably has one last chance to revitalize his NFL career after the injury struggles.
At his peak, he was a playmaker top to bottom and back again on defense. He has 21.5 career sacks and four career interceptions with seven forced fumbles.
A Jets and Adams reunion sounds like a fun one, for sure.
