Kristaps Porzingis wasn't himself down the stretch of the postseason.
Really, the 7-foot-3 Latvian wasn't himself off the court for the Boston Celtics, either, as the New York Knicks sent them home.
The mysterious Porzingis illness is going to get some more testing going forward after already getting some done.
Here's how Porzingis' postgame message Friday night was relayed by The Athletic's Jay King:
Kristaps Porzingis said nobody is really clear on what he’s going through right now. They tested his heart as well as for other illnesses.
Asked if he has long term concerns, he said he’s not sure but doesn’t think so. He believes rest might be best for him.

That's scary as heck. Hopefully the Knicks and Porzingis can figure out what's going on here.
The Celtics didn't start Porzingis in the Game 5 second half or in Game 6 to start the game. They knew what they had available to them.
Clearly, that was the real indication of how Porzingis was doing.
The big fella might not even be back in Boston next season. If he's not, this was quite the way to end it.
