Jennifer Lopez is a walking work of art in bejeweled Dolce & Gabbana: ‘Queen for a night’

Jennifer Lopez’s latest acting role was that of Klimt’s Woman in Gold.

The singer made a stop in Italy, where she’s landed just in time for Dolce & Gabbana’s couture weekend, Alta Moda.

For the event, she was literally dripping in jewels, wearing a strapless gown that was completely covered in gems.

The gold gown was set with colorful stones scattered throughout, and Lopez topped her look with a coordinated metallic cape. And, as if that wasn’t enough embellishment, she wore an oversized rubies necklace and drop earrings.

Speaking to Vogue, Lopez described the feeling of wearing the piece of art, sharing, “I feel like a bombshell, like a queen, like the sexiest woman in the world.”

The multi-hyphenate compared stepping into an ornate haute couture look as though she was approaching an acting role.

“Being an actress, clothes always help me become something,” continuing, “I think I love clothes because I love being an actress: it’s stepping into a character.”

Lopez made a quick change for the evening event, slipping into a bright yellow one-shoulder gown and dripping in diamonds.

She coordinated her metallic silver bag to her jewels as she posed with sister Lynda Lopez.

Lopez is not just a guest of the design house’s multi-day event. She’s performing at Dolce & Gabbana’s finale event on Thursday night, which is set to be a beach party for the brand’s 300 guests.

“I want to have more life, a bigger life, so I can wear these clothes. I need to live in this, because this is the life I want to live,” the singer said of the inspiration that comes from the Dolce & Gabbana show. jennifer lopez/ instagram

The singer shared both a series of photos as well as a video on her Instagram account, writing, “Dolce & Glow ✨” on her metallic slideshow.

Though she seems to live quite a lavish lifestyle with or without the help of the Italian design house, Lopez shared with Vogue that the collections inspire the person she aims to be.

“You know, I left that collection thinking: I want to have more life, a bigger life, so I can wear these clothes. I need to live in this, because this is the life I want to live. That’s the aspiration they create. It’s so interesting, isn’t it?” she asked.

Lopez headed to Italy from London, where she was spotted at Wimbledon, sitting in the Royal Box during the men’s singles finals, wearing an oversized hat that raised eyebrows.

Ahead of the tennis matches, the 56-year-old celebrated her birthday with her sister Lynda and friends in Paris, hitting a few other haute couture shows.

Lynda also scored the plus-one invite at Dolce & Gabbana’s Sicilian events, sharing a pic of the pair on Instagram on Tuesday.
