He won’t be wearing a sharp suit or bringing with him a thick binder full of ideas to get the Giants back on track, but make no mistake: Jeff Hafley is on a job interview Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

The Packers defensive coordinator is expected to be one of the most in-demand assistants available in the head coach carousel that begins after the season, and the Giants already have an open chair after firing Brian Daboll.

The Giants can’t officially interview any employed candidates until January, but whatever happens in this game will leave a first impression.

And Hafley, 46, knows how to make a first impression — like when he gave up his full-time assistant coach salary at Albany to get his foot in the door for less money at Pittsburgh in 2006.
