Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding details are so shrouded in mystery, even their A-list guests are being kept in the dark on the locations in Venice. However, they were sent mood boards to plan their outfits.
A source tells us that attendees have not been given information on the locations for events during the three days of festivities. Instead, they were only told what time to show up for water taxis being provided by the power couple.
“The guests don’t know the locations,” said the source. “They were given times and no details. They just get taken there.”
Guests expected at the nuptials include Ivanka Trump, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King and Leonardo DiCaprio, among other VIPs.
Most guests are staying at one of five luxury hotels in Venice, Italy, including the Aman — where the Amazon billionaire and Sánchez are staying — as well as the St. Regis, where Bill Gates is rumored to be posted. Other hotels include the snazzy Cipriani, Gritti Palace and Hotel Danieli.
A special pier was constructed at the Aman that includes a tent for guests’ privacy. Word along the canals is that other hotels also have specific constructions for wedding guests’ comfort.
One thing the VIPs were let in on is the dress code, we hear.
Our source tells us that guests were even sent mood boards to guide them on what to wear each night with examples for inspiration.
The move is somewhat of a new trend for top-tier weddings: Billionaires Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant sent their guests — including Ivanka Trump, Kim Kardashian and Adele — mood boards for their six-day wedding in 2024.
Most guests arrived in Venice on Wednesday — with kick-off festivities rumored to be happening at a villa on the small island of San Giovanni Evangelista.
Events are also rumored to be taking place on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, Madonna dell’Orto church and the Arsenale, a collection of former shipyards and armories in Northern Venice.
The couple arrived in Venice on Wednesday before their lavish wedding ceremony. The former journalist, 55, and the Amazon founder, 61, were photographed getting out of their helicopter and being helped into a water taxi, Page Six reported.

A fleet of superyachts also descended upon Venice ahead of the wedding, including Michael Jordan’s $115 million megayacht, M’ Brace.
The couple is reportedly spending $10 million on their wedding and inviting 200 people — which would equate to $50,000 per guest.
