Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is one of the three signal-callers featured in the new and soon-to-be-released season of Netflix's popular show "Quarterback" that is scheduled to return this summer.
Along with Goff, the show will follow Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow through the 2024 campaign, both on and off the field.
Netflix revealed on Monday that the new season will premiere on Tuesday, July 8, and the popular streaming service also dropped a trailer.
One of the best parts of the trailer, which you can see in its entirety below, was Goff reacting to a quote from Hall of Fame quarterback and current announcer Tom Brady, who said he'd love to play in the Lions' offense in one clip.
"I'd love to be the quarterback of this offense," Brady said while commentating on a Lions game during the 2024 season. "It's just so much fun."
"Yeah, too bad, Tom," Goff said. "You're retired."

— Nolan Bianchi (@nolanbianchi) June 23, 2025Goff and Brady know each other well. The two squared off in Super Bowl LIII, which saw the New England Patriots emerge victorious over the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3.
Brady last played in the NFL in 2022, but there have been rumors and speculation about him possibly coming out of retirement in recent years. But, at this point, it's safe to say that's never going to happen for the 47-year-old.
The Lions have sported one of the elite offenses in the NFL in recent years thanks to now-former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who left for the head-coaching gig with the Lions' division rival, the Chicago Bears, earlier this offseason.
Now, John Morton will be tasked with keeping the Lions' offense elite — and fun — while replacing Johnson in 2025.
