A rather shy Jannik Sinner recently offered a rare glimpse into what he feels love is along with the most romantic thing he has done. Sinner, the reigning World No. 1 in men's singles tennis, is currently dating Danish model and influencer Laila Hasanovic. Most tennis fans though, were quite amused by what the four-time Major champion had to say and playfully joked about how they feel bad for his girlfriend.
At the recently-concluded Paris Masters, where Sinner registered his fifth ATP Masters 1000 title triumph, he took part in a fun, fill-in-the-blanks styled Q&A. Here, the 24-year-old was asked what love is according to him, and his answer was a simple yet profound one.
"(Love is) loving," the Italian said.Next, when asked about the most romantic thing he's done, Jannik Sinner appeared rather confused about what to say before eventually saying, albeit quite unconvincingly:
"Presents with flowers or kissing? I don't know."Several tennis fans on X (formerly Twitter) jokingly ridiculed Sinner for the nature of his answers. Quite a few of them wondered how the Italian's girlfriend Laila Hasanovic feels about the ATP star's ideas of romance.
"He's the worst boyfriend😩😭," one fan wrote. "Laila, im so sorry for you girl. this dude is a loser😭😭," commented another. "This is so awkward lmao," another fan chimed in. "Guys, he was under pressure 😭😭 (Laila, if this is true, I'm so sorry for you girl ) hahah joking," stated one. "Choosing kissing as the most romantic thing he’s ever done ?? What’s wrong with him 😭😭😭," another added. "Boy sometimes u worry me for real," weighed in yet another fan.Jannik Sinner went public about romantic relationship with Laila Hasanovic after Vienna Open title triumph following months of rumors and speculation

The Italian didn't take the Dane's name, but since she attended the match, it became clear that he was, in fact, referring to her.
"Everyone here, with family, my girlfriend, friends. To my whole team and also those watching at home. Thank you so much for the support," Sinner said. For months prior to Sinner's Vienna Open revelation, there were significant rumors and speculation doing the rounds about the Italian and Dane's relationship, and for good reason. Not only was a picture of Hasanovic seen on Sinner's phone, but there were also interviews given by Monte Carlo locals who claimed seeing the pair spending time together.
On the tennis front, Jannik Sinner is currently in Turin, Italy, waiting to kickstart his ATP Finals title defense.
