The OKC Thunder have set the standard for much of the season, but a recent dip has slowed their momentum. A 112–107 loss to Minnesota made it two defeats in three games, prompting frustrated fans to single out Jalen Williams and Luguentz Dort for the slide.
A fan highlighted Williams and Dort's performances on X (formerly Twitter), claiming it was they who were responsible for all three of OKC's losses this season.
"Every single f*cking loss is because of the same 2 players," the fan wrote.•

Although no names were mentioned, Thunder fans clearly knew who the criticism was aimed at and voiced their frustration.
@okcamars the problem with #8 is he is being misutilized. he is not a secondary creator and the moment that him and this team realize this we’ll instantly become better even in that 40 point finals game it was limited on-ball scoring reps, which is how it should be to maximize his
@okcamars 4th quarter was a hard watch on offense seen ajay miss 2 lays, ac airball an open 3, dort missed a 3 that would’ve put us up 5 in the cluth, dub with his random as layups , and 2 get blocked and stripped on the game winning shots
@okcamars Poo Dort and JTubs
While Jalen Williams and Dort drew much of the backlash, some fans felt the losses were a collective issue and cautioned against overreacting.
@okcamars Omg boo hooo my team that just won the finals just lost their 3rd game of the year in December noooo 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@okcamars they’re 25-3 it was a scheduled loss imo
After seeing their 15-game winning streak snapped by a 111–109 loss to the Spurs in the NBA Cup semifinals, the Thunder were expected to respond with another strong run.
They did rebound with a convincing 122–101 win over the Clippers, but couldn’t carry that momentum into a back-to-back, falling to the Timberwolves. Jalen Williams and Lu Dort had relatively quiet nights in that game, which only added to the frustration from sections of the fanbase.
Williams finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, but four turnovers and a 6-of-16 night from the field drew criticism. Dort also struggled, scoring 11 points on 3-of-12 shooting and misfiring on seven of his ten attempts from three-point range.
Despite only losing three-games all season, the Thunder have been held to insanely high standards and will look to respond when they face the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander reacts to Thunder loss after Jalen Williams’ off night
The Thunder suffered an uncommon setback on Friday, falling 112–107 to the Timberwolves. Jalen Williams endured a difficult closing stretch, missing all six of his shot attempts down the stretch and committing two turnovers in the final minutes as Oklahoma City failed to rally.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander reflected on his team's performance during the post-game interview, offering his honest views.
"I think the whole second half, we could have done a better job," SGA said (Timestamp: 1:10). "We were doing a good job on the first-shot offense, especially with how the game was being called ... Giving a good team second-chance points and opportunities makes it very hard."SGA led the way with 35 points, but limited support saw the Thunder lose two games in a month for the first time this season.
