The Eagles are under fire for their handling of Jalen Hurts' latest diagnosis — one that is far more severe than typically seen in the sports world.

On Monday, Philadelphia announced that its star quarterback was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis. Scans discovered that the blood clot issue that affected Hurts in the lead-up to last week's game against the Rams had moved to his lungs.

Hurts is expected to miss the remainder of the season as a result of his diagnosis. Many are wondering how he and the Eagles got to this point. Concerns over Philadelphia's management of Hurts' ailment — including the decision to let him fly after discovering that he had a blood clot in his left calf — are scrawled across social media and message boards at present.
