The Philadelphia Eagles are in a free fall right now. Jalen Hurts is likely out for the season with a scary blood clot issue; Lane Johnson has retired; they've lost four straight games for the first time since hiring Nick Sirianni, and the injuries continue to pile up.
A lot of the issues with this 2026 team can be traced back to the offense. Eagles fans have been frustrated with the production of the offense, and for good reason. This Eagles' offense is doing something not seen in a long time.
According to Sheil Kapadia of The Ringer, the Eagles' offense in 2026 has become the worst offense Philadelphia has seen since the turn of the century. No other offense since 2000 has been worse than this year's Eagles' offense.
Eagles' 2026 offense worst in franchise history since 2000
"This is the worst an Eagles offense has performed through Week 6 this century," Kapadia shared. "Among 27 teams since 2000, the 2026 Eagles rank last in both EPA per drive and success rate."
There are plenty of statistics from this season that highlight just how bad the Eagles' offense has been. Their third-down struggles, the consistent three-and-outs, the struggles of the offensive line in pass protection, and the running game are all issues.
But these two statistics from Kapadia about the team's EPA per play and their success rate on offense are worse than any Eagles offense has shown through the first six weeks of a season.

This is the wrong kind of history the Eagles want to be setting, especially with the context that this was meant to be a pivotal season for the Eagles in their Super Bowl window.
Now, with Hurts likely done for the season, Johnson retired, and plenty of other issues all across the team, the Eagles' offense appears to be in a very bad spot.
While DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and Saquon Barkley are good, and there's reason for optimism with players such as Dontayvion Wicks, Darius Cooper, and Makai Lemon, the offense as a whole is more disappointing than ever.
Whether that's thanks to Nick Sirianni's involvement or Sean Mannion's offense being lackluster remains to be seen. But regardless of how they got here, the Eagles' offense this season is clearly in a horrible spot. This brutal feat in franchise history proves it.
