Jalen Brunson spoils Air Corgi's viral Spurs prediction in NBA Finals Game 1

1 hour ago 4

Air Corgi predicted the San Antonio Spurs to win the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks in seven games. However, his crystal ball cracked in Game 1 after Jalen Brunson led the Knicks to come back from 14 points down to secure a 105-95 win.

The Spurs looked all set to win Game 1, but Brunson had other plans. The Knicks superstar guard erupted for 30 points on 12-of-31 shooting in 37 minutes. He scored 13 crucial points in the fourth quarter after both teams were tied in the first three quarters. Karl-Anthony Towns also added 18 points and 12 rebounds. For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama struggled from deep (2-of-9), as he finished with a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds.

For most of the night, Air Corgi's prediction looked safe. The Spurs even had a double-digit lead. However, they struggled to shoot well in crunch time, finishing with just 36 percent field shooting for the game. Meanwhile, the Knicks, despite being the road team, looked fresh and energetic, shooting 41.5 percent in the game.

Air Corgi has picked Jalen Brunson & Co. to win Game 2 vs Spurs

Air Corgi has predicted the Spurs to win Games 1, 4, 5, and 7. However, the first game of the series has gone to the road team. For Game 2, Air Corgi shot the ball (with his nose) in the Knicks' basket, predicting they would take the road game.

Previously, the famous dog correctly predicted the Spurs' dramatic seven-game Western Conference Finals win over defending champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder. His predictions come through a signature nose-bump basketball routine. Since then, he has become a legend.

It remains to be seen whether the Spurs, this time, prove Air Corgi's prediction wrong.
