The New York Knicks are through to the Eastern Conference Semifinals after a phenomenal Game 6 performance. They utterly dominated the Atlanta Hawks 140-89. At some point in the game, the Knicks had a 61-point lead, which is arguably the most lopsided result in recent postseason history.
After some struggles early in the series, the Knicks showed why they were the favorites the whole way through. As shown with the score, it was a well-rounded Knicks performance, but it was OG Anunoby who led the way with his 29 points. Team captain Jalen Brunson is glad that the Knicks got to showcase their peak potential in a big game like that.
Jalen Brunson is glad the Knicks got to show their peak form in Game 6
As the Knicks made quick work of the Hawks in Game 6, they showed they are quite a formidable team when they are firing on all cylinders. It was one of the best Knicks performances in recent history because they could lock in on both ends of the floor.
Limiting the Hawks to that low a point total shows that the Knicks can overpower and overwhelm any opponent. Moving forward, this will be a key factor as they play the winner of the Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers series.

As the team captain and superstar player, Brunson was pleased to see his team stand out like that. He has always wanted his team to step up when needed, and this was a night when he only had to score 17 points en route to the big-time victory.
"Yeah, I think it's most importantly, it shows us what we're capable of defensively. I think that's really important. We still have a long road to travel, so staying locked in, knowing what we're capable of, it's really important," Brunson said about the Knicks' ceiling after Game 6 victory.
Now that the Knicks are ready to play another series, they will have some time to prepare. It will be a challenging series either way, but the Knicks will be locked in, and will look to recapture the form they showcased in Game 6 against the Hawks.
