Brian Thomas Jr. was so, so good as a rookie.
Year two has not been as fun for the Jacksonville Jaguars' talented wide receiver.
But on Monday, head coach Liam Coen felt like he had to make something clear.
Coen told reporters that he had seen a rumor over the weekend that the Jags should trade Thomas. Coen didn't like that.
“We have no plans on moving Brian Thomas Jr. at all,” Coen said.

That makes sense, of course. It wouldn't be logical for the Jags to trade a guy who was dominant as a rookie and has just had a half season of lesser production since. He's still got so much time to get back to his starring ways, and his contract is so team friendly.
Thomas has had some drops this season, which hasn't made him look great, but he's still extremely talented.
So far in 2025, Thomas has 27 catches for 365 yards and a single touchdown.

The Jaguars had a bye in Week 8, which could help them reboot for the second half of the season.
They take on the lowly Las Vegas Raiders in Week 9, which is a game the Jags have to win if they want to keep themselves in the playoff picture.
Coen and the Jaguars are certainly hoping that Thomas comes out of the bye rejuvenated and ready to go. He's not going anywhere, that's for sure, no matter what some rumors online say.
